I'm really not buying into the Santogold hype. She just sort of strikes me as M.I.A. Lite, without good beats. (Then again, I kind of get the feeling there's not a lotta blogosphere love for M.I.A., either... as a big fan of dancehall, I like her a lot, even though only about half of 'Kala' is quality.

I think these artists just exist so anti-hipsters can make fun of them.
