Luda Should Retire

"Shouldn't you save up whatever scraps of dignity you have left and RESIGN???"

You know, I don't really have much to say about this. I just want to point out that, while it's widely acknowledged that Luda never made an album befitting of his pretty huge talents, he was at one point one of the best singles artists in rap and a guy capable of going off over any beat and hanging with any rapper. Now I shudder when his shit comes on the radio. Even my kid sister said the other day that 'What Them Girls Like' could use a guest verse or something to break up the Luda monotony. That never would've happened five years ago. As far as turning into a corporate emptied-out shell of himself, only Busta and Jay can compete.

remember his verse from 'fatty girl?' he used to be so much fun back then.

he should have never cut his hair, that was a lame-ass move.

Dude it's like Samson, all the rappers who mess with their hair never recover. And I mean, for good reason, it usually signals this transition from the immature and laughable to the dreaded grown and sexy.

or, in the case of busta, a transition from immature and laughable to, well, immature and laughable but for all the wrong reasons.

'grown and sexy,' what a stupid phrase. remember when everyone wanted to be like Jay and get a pair of jeans and 'button-ups' to go with their yankees fitted? what an embarrassing time

I mean, as a preppy white guy, that's how I often dress, so it was kinda nice to not look out of place at certain parties for a while.

as what many would call a preppy black person, that is fair. but, in high school, that shit looked silly.

All I can tell you is Bloomingdales had ridiculous sales on Hugo Boss shirts this week. The recession is the greatest thing that happened to broke college students like me ever.
